Use the 5 rules of positivity for your mindset

Use the 5 rules of positivity for your mindset

It is the great moments of happiness in life that we like to think back on and that often give our existence meaning and purpose. In order to feel holistically happy and to steer your life in a positive direction, not just on special occasions, it is important to do something for your own positive mindset every day. With the 5 rules of positivity for your mindset, you can bring more joy and mindfulness into your day!

The first kiss, your own wedding, reuniting with an old friend, or the birth of a child - when you think of the happiest and most positive moments in your life, you can surely think of a few situations where you lived your best self and felt nothing but joy and love. As precious as these experiences are, some days they seem out of reach and far away. The many demands of everyday life noticeably depress your mood and your body also reacts negatively to stress and an unbalanced lifestyle.

The 5 rules of positivity for your mindset do not come directly from European Ayurveda®, but take into account the same important principles for greater well-being. Take time for the following 5 rules every day and create a source of happiness even in turbulent times - every day:

The 5 rules at a glance

The 5 rules of positivity - meditation
Time for meditation in the morning calms your mind.

1. meditation

Start each morning by consciously taking time to rest and concentrate, and to look inward. It doesn't matter if it's just one minute or twenty: Meditation can help you calm your mind, relieve stress, and center yourself. With a clear, calm mind, you're guaranteed to start the day on a positive note!

2. self-care and mindful words

Your thoughts have a powerful effect on your well-being. If you constantly criticize yourself and are not satisfied with yourself, you deprive yourself of the possibility of being happy. In your dialogue with yourself, consider the following rule: for every negative thought you formulate towards yourself, try to speak two positive and affirming phrases to yourself. Use positive affirmations to make your wishes and visions come true. In this way, you will succeed in transforming negative thought patterns and beliefs into positive and constructive ones, bit by bit.

3. healthy indulgence

A healthy and balanced diet is not only good for your body: If you feel fit, healthy and vital, your mood will rise by itself! Therefore, avoid highly processed convenience foods and plan enough time for fresh and home-cooked meals instead. Maybe you will discover the joy of cooking while preparing healthy, regional and seasonal dishes and let your thoughts wander at the stove to your goals and desires?

4. gentle movement

Sports are healthy - but did you know that daily exercise also lifts your mood? Physical activity stimulates endorphin production in the body, leads to a better oxygen supply in the blood and lets negative thoughts move on. So try to incorporate a walk in the fresh air, a yoga session, swim training or a relaxing run into your routine every day.

5. gratitude

Just as you begin your day mindfully with a meditation, end it with a small ritual that allows you to consciously reflect on the events of the day: Every evening, write down three things for which you were grateful today - however big or small they may be. This exercise shows you in a simple way that every day holds something positive and special for you if you focus your attention on it.

These 5 rules of positivity for your mindset are a first step on the way to a more fulfilling and happier life. Start implementing them today and you will soon notice how your well-being improves and your mind becomes balanced. Cultivate the ability to perceive positive aspects in life and take care of your health - this will open the door to many small and big moments of happiness!
