Advantages of a Pancha Karma cure in Europe
Many people only know Ayurveda cures from India or Sri Lanka, the country of origin of Ayurveda. However, long long-distance journeys are also arduous for many people; the adjustment to a different climate, a new culture and Indian food can be difficult.
So why not try an Ayurveda cure back home? You save the long flight, can speak your mother tongue and don't have to adapt to a different climate and unfamiliar food. So you have the advantage of being able to start immediately and not losing any time.
With our concept of the European Ayurveda® we have adapted ourselves exactly to these needs. We offer our guests a cure that includes all the advantages of a classical Ayurvedic cure, but adapted to the needs of Europeans.
The European Ayurveda®concept is reflected in all pillars of our cures. Our massages and massage techniques are adapted to the problems and habits of Europeans. We use oils that also contain herbs that grow in Europe.
Also with the Catering we offer an enjoyable mix of Ayurvedic nutrition and European food. Some of the products used are even grown on our own Ayurveda farm, the Lindhof, so we can fully stand behind the quality of our food.
With the Consultations by our Indian Ayurveda specialists you will of course also find the European Ayurveda® concept and so our Ayurveda specialists know exactly about the problems that our guests bring with them and understand how they can support you with physical as well as emotional or stress-related problems. The lifestyle and living conditions of Europeans are often different from those of Indian people, which is why a cure in Europe can be offered to Europeans with more authenticity and quality.
Procedure of a Pancha Karma cure
A panch karma cure can be divided into three different phases.
Part 1 - Preparation Phase/Pre Detoxification
During this part of the cure, the aim is to release all the waste products (AMA - uncooked). This happens through ghee intake as well as oil massages and peeling at the beginning of the cure. This part of the cure is accompanied by a light Ayurvedic, vegetarian and/or vegan diet tailored to the doshas.
Part 2 - Rejection / Purification Phase
Now all the released waste products that have collected in the digestive system are expelled through a special laxative day. A laxative cocktail helps you with this. Another purification ritual is the nasya (nose treatment). It is also part of the Pancha Karma cure, but is not used for all guests. The nasya cleanses the entire sinus and head area. The nasya is also said to clear the mind and purify the thoughts.
Part 3 - Build-up phase
The build-up phase is just as important as the cleansing rituals. It is essential in bringing the metabolism back to an optimal state, strengthening body tissues and building up the immune system. During the rebuilding phase, you enjoy wonderful treatments that are individually tailored to each guest, as well as Ayurvedic light food.
The build-up phase can be extended and intensified by anyone at home. The extension is highly recommended to guarantee an optimal cure success.
