Detox smoothie: detoxification through healthy drinks

A detox cure is one of the best things you can do for your body, mind and soul. You get rid of old ballast and free your body and organs from harmful toxins and waste products. Especially in spring, when Vata with its clearing and changing energies makes room for something new, a detox cure is worthwhile. In addition to Ayurvedic treatments and sufficient exercise, the right diet is important. To keep you full of power during your detox process, we have a very healthy and delicious tip for you today: the EA Detox Smoothie:

In European Ayurveda we believe that nutrition plays a particularly important role in detoxification. With the right ingredients and foods you can significantly improve your quality of life.

Nutritious, rich in vitamins and a real energy bomb: a detox smoothie is almost a little magic drink. Freshly prepared with fruit, vegetables and optionally a few herbs, you can use it to balance your doshas and keep your Agni digestive fire going. The preparation is very simple. All you need is the ingredients and a blender or hand blender. The advantage: By processing whole foods, your body gets much more fibre and nutrients than, for example, through pressed fruit. Blending breaks down the cellulose walls of the ingredients. Vitamins, minerals and other components are thus easier for the body to process. In addition, a detox smoothie is simply a super energy bomb that gives you power for the whole day.

Here are two great recipes:

Happy Morning Detox - Smoothie

For 2 servings you need:
- 2 pears
- 1 banana
- juice of 1/2 lime
- 4 carrots
- 4 tbsp. hemp seeds

Preparation:
Clean the vegetables thoroughly - preferably just wash them or peel them if you like. But don't forget that most of the nutrients are in the skin! Then use the blender for the carrots and pears. Next, add the banana and the hemp seeds to the juice - then puree everything finely. Add the lime juice to round off the flavour of your smoothie for a happy morning.

Green Energizer

- 2 kiwis (peeled)
- 2 red apples
- 2 bunches flat-leaf parsley
- 2 handfuls spinach leaves
- 100 ml almond or oat milk

Preparation:

Again, wash the vegetables and fruit and peel them if necessary. Puree the kiwis, parsley, spinach and almond milk until there are no pieces left. Mix in the fresh apple juice by blending briefly and et voilà - your green energiser is ready to enjoy.
