Tree Meditation: Meditation for Unfolding

Woman and nature

Take about 30-40 minutes for our tree meditation. Go out into nature on a beautiful summer day or into your own garden. Perhaps there is a tree in your immediate vicinity that strongly attracts you and where you can be completely for yourself.

When you are ready, stand in the midday sun, undressed if possible, and let the sun shine on you consciously for 5 minutes. Feel the strong power of the light and imagine how the cells of your body gratefully absorb the light. Then go into the shade under your chosen tree. Stand upright in front of the tree and move until your muscles are relaxed from head to toe and you feel comfortable in your own body. Then sit comfortably on the roots of the tree or on the grass in front of it. Breathe in and out in a relaxed way and concentrate completely on the here and now.

Direct your attention to your feet and feel the contact of the soles of your feet with the earth. Imagine long roots growing into the ground and connecting you to Mother Earth. Feel the earth under your feet and the intense energy of growth around you. While doing this, breathe deeply into your belly and allow your roots to be immersed in the hot magma of the earth. Draw up the red power of the earth and fill your body with it.

The power flows from your feet through your pelvis to the top of your head, where the energy flows out of you again and stretches up to the sun in the form of thick branches. The branches absorb the sunlight, which flows into your body from the top of your head down to the soles of your feet, and through the roots back into the earth.

You are now a tree, connected to above and below. Stay for a moment in this feeling of being a big strong tree. Consciously perceive how your branches have spread out over the years in all directions. How much you have already achieved in your life so far and how your whole existence has unfolded a little further in every year. But still your branches continue to expand and want to grow.

Stretch it right, you have chosen the power at the right time to unfold without losing balance. In perfect balance you can grow in the areas that are close to your heart and exactly at the pace that is good for you.

Let flowers grow from your branches, many green leaves and new branches. Draw strength from the earth and from the sun, take the space you need to grow. Let your crown grow bigger and bigger and unfold. Maybe you see images inside of you where the growth was neglected or maybe you feel where the supply of energy is not yet quite successful.

Then let the energy from below and above flow specifically into this area, imagining a stream of light that washes away all blockages.

Enjoy being a big and strong living being, integrated into the web of nature. Enjoy your own beauty - you are part of the whole, you are connected with Mother Earth and Father Sun, in harmony with all.

When you are ready to return, end the tree meditation by placing your hands on the earth and returning the excess energy to the earth. Thank the tree and place a small gift on its roots. You remain connected to your tree in your daily life, whenever you feel it necessary, you can go to the tree and repeat this exercise. You can do the tree meditation at any time.
